CYMA is my poetry work in progress. I have been awarded a Developing Your Creative Practice grant by Arts Council England to support its research and writing during 2023.
CYMA will explore ideas of place, sound and communication. It is inspired by a local coastal site, its Cold War history and possible climate futures, through a neurodivergent/ disability lens.
The project will challenge me to develop new research and writing methods, including site-specific practices and making and writing from field recordings. I will work with other creatives to build my skills in presenting the work on the page, on stage, and online.
